All inputs of the I/O 1000 EPM-S602 compound module (1 counter 32 bits, 5 V DC) are designed as differential inputs and must be assigned to a differential signal. This applies irrespective of the parameterisation of the module (e.g. the signal evaluation setting to 'Rotary transducer' or 'Pulse/direction').
Unfortunately, a different handling, e.g. using bridges, is not possible.
