Red CAN-LED is cyclically blinking 3 times

Question:
When will the red CAN-LED be cyclically blinking 3 times?

Answer:
When the red CAN LED is cyclically blinking 3 times, the received CAN SYNC signal is faulty. This monitoring function is activated by selecting CAN as sync source in code C01120. After this, the received CAN SYNC signal will be monitored timewise using the sync cycle time from code C1121 as monitoring time. Behind the monitoring function there is a dynamic counter. For every CAN SYNC signal received correctly within the sync time slot, the counter will be counted down by -1. If the CAN SYNC signal is not received within the sync time slot, the counter will be counted up by +64. Starting from a counter value of ≤ 496 the red CAN LED will be cyclically blinking 3 times. I. e. the red CAN LED will only start blinking after 8 CAN SYNC signals have not been received within the defined time slot. This indicates a poor signal transmission on the CAN bus!
