9400 with SM301 - Safe stop 1 and two-hand control - performance level e

Function:
When the emergency-stop button is actuated, the motor is stopped according to stop category 1 of EN 60204-1.

Since the SM301 only complies with category 3, two-hand control is maximally suitable up to type III B according to EN 574.

When the actuators are not operated, special operation of the SM301 is activated via the normally closed contacts to monitor the standstill of the motor. This is implemented by means of the OMS stop function SS2.
When both actuators are operated, the SM301 is switched back to normal operation and the 'Free assignment with SS2' function is deactivated via the normally open contacts.
In the case of a discrepancy time of more than 500ms between operation of the two actuators, the error will be automatically acknowledged in the SM301 after both actuators have been released.
In the 9400 logbook, this will always be entered as a warning.
