Description:
Before starting the PLC Designer program, execute the set-up files to install the PLC targets.
All configuration and extension files required for operating a certain control system (target system, target) using an application are contained in a Target Support Package (TSP). The code generator, the memory layout, and the controller and I/O module functions are configured. Furthermore, libraries, gateway drivers, Error and Ini files for the PLC browser, etc. must be integrated. One or several target files are the central element of the TSP. A target file refers to the files required in addition to the target configuration. The target file can share these files with other target files.
When installing a TSP, for each target system the corresponding target file is stored in a separate directory and the corresponding path is registered. According to a *.tnf info file, which is also contained in the TSP, the corresponding files are also copied to your computer. The name of the target directory and the name of the target are identical. We suggest to select a directory with the name of the manufacturer.
The files installed with a Target Support Package are read when the PLC Designer program is started. The target system settings selected in the dialogs of the programming system are stored together with the corresponding project.

Installation
How to install the PLC targets:
1. Unpack the 'L-force_PLC_Target_V7.06.05.zip' file (4.0 MB) on your PC. The ZIP file contains two installation files.
Setup_L-force_Logic_x700_V7.06.05.exe ==> Logic target, contains no Motion libraries, shorter loading and compilation times
and
Setup_L-force_Motion_x700_V7.06.05.exe ==> Logic and Motion target, also contains the Motion libraries
2. Start Setup_L-force_Logic_x700_V7.06.05.exe or Setup_L-force_Motion_x700_V7.06.05.exe program and follow the installation instructions.
Please note that different versions of the V7 PLC target available on your PC will be overwritten when this target is installed. This only applies to targets within the same main version V7. Targets of other main versions (e. g. V6, V5) are not concerned.

PLC Designer target version V7.06 is released for being used with
• IPC firmware V2.2 and higher
• PLC Designer V2.6 and higher
Please note:
Control technology release 2.2 still supports PLC target V5 and V6. I. e. if you want to convert a project created with control technology release 1.5 or 2.0 to control technology release 2.2 you need n o t necessarily change your PLC targets from V5 or V6 to V7. A change to V7 is only necessary if the EtherCAT or Profibus fieldbus are to used.
In the following special case, one library has to be added manually to your project after installing PLC targets V7.6:
• You want to edit a PLC project that has been created with PLC target V7.0.11.
• The project contains EtherCAT components.
• The 'Save configuration files in project' project option in the base node of the PLC configuration is set.
• ==> This option blocks the automatic download of one of the new libraries.
If the library is not available, compilation errors will occur.
Remedy: Manually add the missing library 'L_SM_EtherCATDriveUtil.lib' from the 'EtherCAT' folder. For this, go to the Library Manager and select the menu 'Insert->Additional library'.
