GDC, menu structure and texts in the pdb files revised with regard to usability aspects (V2.0/1.2/8.0/3.0 - xP/xM/xA/xE onwards)

Function extension:
The device data description file (*.pdb) for Global Drive Control (GDC) has been extensively revised in order to improve usability. Menu structures have basically been revised and code texts habe considerably been improved.

In particular, the following improvements have been made:
  • The codes and selection texts are now more appropriately refined and thereby easier to understand.
  • The display texts for status and error messages are now more meaningful, e.g. display text for current fault C4168/1:
  •        'Trip (OC7) Ixt device overload (threshold C0123)'   instead of just  'OC7-TRIP'
  • The menu structure has been redesigned from scratch. The following main subject areas are clearly separated by dotted lines:
  •   1. Diagnostics and short setup
  •   2. Settings for functions and monitoring
  •   3. Interfaces, bus systems and terminals
  •   4. Identification and code lists
