I am using the SM301 safety module with PROFIsafe in conjunction with PROFINET. During compilation of my Step7-project the error message 'check sum' occurs. What is the reason?
Answer:
Siemens modified the algorithm for the check sum calculation between the versions SP1 and SP2 of Step7 V5.4.
Install the current Service Pack 2.
The error can occur when a new project is created only, since the combination PROFINET / PROFIsafe has not been available until now.
The error only occurs when PROFINET is used, not when PROFIBUS is used.
