Remedied from?
GDC V4.10 SP2, GDCeasy V4.10 SP2
Behaviour of the new version?
Thanks to Service Pack 2 for the GDC software Service Pack 2 for the GD Loader V 3.0 is now also installed. Moreover, the correct version information is indicated via the information window (menu item: ?>About) of the GD Loader V3.0.
Which products are affected?
ESP-GDC2 (Global Drive Control V4.10)
Global Drive Control easy V4.10
Global Drive Loader V3.0
What happens?
After the GD Loader GD Loader V3.0 SP2 has been installed the ECS application software 'Posi&Shaft V1.2' is missing and the following function restrictions still exist although they should have been eliminated by Service Pack 2 (SP2):
- The download of a binary file to a Drive PLC is not started.
- The parameter set download to the drive controller with a more recent firmware is not possible.
- The download symbol is not indicated.
When does the problem occur?
If the GD Loader is installed via the GDC V4.10 or GDCeasy V4.10 installation routine, the GD Loader V3.0 SP1 is installed contrary to the information indicated by the installation dialog. None of the function extensions and fault eliminations to be implemented by Service Pack 2 is installed. The installation of SP2 is indicated in the information window (menu item: ?About) of the GD Loader V3.0.
Possible diagnostics?
The version designations mentioned in line 2 and 4 of the GD Loader information window do not match. If the following version information is indicated in the fourth line, Service Pack 2 of the GD Loader is
not installed:
May 31 2005 11:49:52 (Build: 3.0.32.0)
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Install Service Pack 2 of the GD Loader V3.0 which is provided free of charge in the Application Knowledge Base (AKB) on the Lenze homepage (
www.Lenze.de).
Evaluation:
The GD Loader is included in the scope of supply of GDC and GDCeasy. If the GD Loader is installed via the GDC installation routine Service Pack 1 instead of Service Pack 2 is installed. Nevertheless, the GD Loader indicates the installation of Service Pack 2. The function restriction can be eliminated by the subsequent installation of Service Pack 2.
