S-ramps and accepting new traversing profile parameters using POS-PARAM-RD

Question:
What needs to be observed when accepting new traversing profile parameters using POS-PARAM-RD when the S-ramp function is activated?

Answer:
With the linear profile generator (default), new traversing profile parameters can be accepted any time and in any motion phase using POS-PARAM-RD.

With the S-ramp profile generator, new traversing profile parameters can, however, only be accepted during the acceleration phase and while traversing at traversing speed. During the deceleration phase, new traversing profile parameters cannot be accepted.
In the deceleration phase, the S-ramp profile generator does not process signals at the function block input POS-PARAM-RD. If the FB input POS-PARAM-RD is only set during the deceleration phase, this will have no effects on the positioning process and the S-ramp profile generator will not 'keep in mind' any new parameters, e. g. to position to a new target later on.

If new traversing profile parameters are to be accepted during a positioning process using POS-PARAM-RD, the parameters must be accepted outside the deceleration phase when the S-ramp function is activated.
