Using an existing Engineer project with axis modules equipped with a more recent firmware version
Application
For a new system identical in terms of function but equipped with new devices using the firmware version 2.X there is already a project available which has been generated by means of the Engineer 1.2 and devices 01.37 or by means of the Engineer 1.4 and devices 01.51.
Description
How to proceed:
a) Open the project by using the current Engineer version.
b) Exchange the devices 01.37 and 01.5X included in the project for the catalogue devices '9400 HighLine V02' (select 'Replace component' in the context menu). If necessary every axis name is to be adapted separately since the user can enter any name here.
A motor which has been assigned before as well as all further device modules or applications of this axis remain unchanged.
c) Update the project (all devices changed).
d) Download the project to the corresponding device.
e) Check the axis module for correct functioning.
f) Start of the test for correct functioning of the complete system by the operator.
g) Save the project.
Note:
If a new project is generated with Engineer version 1.5 it is only allowed to use catalogue devices '9400 HighLine V02'. Modules and motors are to be assigned according to the project planning and hardware available.
Single user applications of existing projects cannot be copied into the new project!
