How can a CE5 or CE6 error occur without a CAN system bus fieldbus function module to be used?

What can be the reason for a CAN time out error (CE5) or CAN bus off (CE6), when a 82vector/motec is operated with all fieldbus function modules except the E82ZAFCC (systembus CAN), E82ZAFF (AS-i)  or when a E82ZAFAC (Application I/O) is used?

Answer:

If, e. g. a Profibus, Interbus, Lecom B, … fieldbus function module is operated in conjunction with an 8200 vector, the CE5/6 error can also occur. The attached document describes the relation between the occurring CE5/6 error and the applied fieldbus function module.

Note:

The errors CE5 and CE6 do not occur in case of the AS-i fieldbus function module, as the data between FIF module and base device are exchanged only via the digital inputs.
