Exchange of old Lenze drive controllers (8100, 8200 etc) against current drive controller types with Lecom optical fibre networking

Question:
What has to be considered regarding the Lecom optical fibre network when old Lenze drive controllers (8100, 8200 etc) are exchanged by current drive controller types?

Answer:
The current Lecom optical fibre communication module EMF 2102-V003 differs from the old interface modules regarding the internally used optical fibre hardware components. It requires a bit more receipt power than the old optical fibre components. Consequently, the Lecom optical fibre communication might not operate faultless when an old drive controllers is exchanged by a new one with EMF 2102-V003. A remedy can be the exchange of the old optical fibre cables against new ones, as with new optical fibre cables more output power is available. Another possibility is to increase the output power of the sender (PLC).
