Status word STAT1 in case of Posi&Shaft, meaning of the control bits PStateTrouble, GlobalErr, PStateHome, HomingBusy
Question:
What is the difference between the ECS Posi&Shaft-control bits 'PStateTrouble' and 'GlobalErr', as well as 'PStateHome' and 'HomingBusy'?
Answer:
PStateTrouble (STAT1.Bit1) and GlobalErr (STAT1.Bit11) have the same meaning to the user:
Bit1 designates the operating status 'Trouble' the drive switches to in case of an error.
Bit11 (GlobalErr) is an internal control signal corresponding to an OR operation of all error signals It is an internal signal of the internal state machine and is responsible for the status changeover to 'Trouble'. See also chapter 6.17.1 of the manual.
PStateHome (STAT1.B3) and HomingBusy (STAT1.Bit12) have the same meaning to the user:
Homing is active and the operating status is 'Homing'.
Note regarding how to count the status bit:
The numbering of the bits starts with 0. The bit (LSB) with the lowest value is consequently STAT1.Bit0.
