Question:
What has to be considered when in case of 8200vector/motec or starttec the selection 'Parameter not saved in EEPROM' (L-C0003 = 0) is made and several parameter sets are operated with?
Answer:
Only one parameter set from the EEPROM is loaded to the RAM store of the 8200vector/motec and starttec. If this active parameter set is modified, they will not be stored in the EEPROM in case of setting L-C0003 = 0.
In the parameter sets 2, 3 and 4 parameters can consequently not be modified, as they are not in the RAM memory!
In case of a parameter set change a different parameter set from the EEPROM is loaded to the RAM memory and the parameter set, which was active before, is overwritten, so that all modifications get lost. After mains connection parameter set 1 is generally loaded to the RAM memory.
When a fieldbus network is used, please consider:
If cyclic codes / parameters have to be modified, the code L-C0003 has to be set to selection 0 'Parameter not saved in EEPROM' in order to avoid the EEPROM's destruction due to all the memory accesses. If several parameters are applied, you should consider that the current parameter set is stored once before the parameter set is changed to ensure that the modifications do not get lost.
