Direct positioning in case of ECS Posi&Shaft via process data channel, PosDirect, LOW-word and HIGH-word

Question:
What has to be considered in case of ECS Posi&Shaft regarding the position of low-word and high-word when the target position 'PosDirect' is selected?

Answer:
The  32-bit-variable 'PosDirect' is used for the direct determination of the target position in the positioning profile mode 'direct positioning' via the process data channel (Profibus or CAN).
Low- und High-Word of the 32-bit-variable 'PosDirect' are arranged in reverse order, see figure. Consequently, in the superimposed control, e. g. an S7, low-word and high-word have to be written to the process date in reverse order, so that the drive controller gets the correct value.
