Display of the CAN node address 0 in the system bus configurator

Why and when are the remote maintenance modules (EthernetCAN EMF2180, ModemCAN EMF218) in the system bus configurator displayed with the node address?
Answer:
If the remote maintenance modules are operated without any system bus/CANopen network, in the system bus configurator following message is displayed after the diagnostic has been executed: 'Field devices were found at the following addresses:0'
The red CAN LED of the remote maintenance modules signalizes an error status designated withSingelflash = CAN error counteroverrun. This error status indicates that no system bus/CANopen network is connected. In this status there is, however, no restriction regarding communication between the PC and the remote maintenance module.
If a systembus/CANopen network is connected to the device, the CAN node address set in code L-C0350 in the remote maintenance module becomes effective and the diagnostic makes appear the set CAN node address.
