FAIL-QSP in conjunction with fieldbusses

Question:
Why is the FAIL-QSP-error not transmitted via fieldbus (drive profile of the communication modules)?

Answer:
The drive controller considers the FAIL-QSP as an error (TRIP). The output stages of the drive controller are, however, not inhibited, but the drive executes a quickstop (QSP). Error (TRIP) and FAIL-QSP lead to a storage and remain set, as long as the cause (e. g. following error) is applied and not reset by a corresponding command (TRIP RESET).

The quickstop controllable by the user, as well as the FAIL-QSP are not fixed to the status words of the bus systems (C0150/000). In default setting they cannot be evaluated by means of communication modules that operate with a drive profile (DRIVECOM, PROFIDrive etc.), as in default setting the status word does not contain the signals QSP and FAIL-QSP. If the quickstop status and FAIL-QSP is to be evaluated in the PLC nevertheless, the states MCTRL-QSP-OUT or DCTRL-FAIL-QSP are to be assigned to a free bit of the AIF status word (function block STAT) and evaluated in the PLC.
