DRIVECOM or PROFIDRIVE is not possible in case of ECS servo controller Posi&Shaft

Question:
What has to be considered for the connection of the ECS-Regler Posi&Shaft and Speed&Torque via an AIF communication module with DRIVECOM- or PROFIDRIVE control (e. g. PROFIBUS module 2133IB, INTERBUS module 2113IB)?

Answer:
In case of ECS servo controller including technology function Posi&Shaft the AIF control word is determined by the PLC program. All the 16 bits of the control word are required for the control of digital functions (e. g. tipp operation, homing...).  In case of DRIVECOM- or PROFIDRIVE drive profiles some of the bits have fix meanings. The pre-assignment of all control bits by the posi&shaft application consequently collides with the assignment of single bits in the control word by DRIVECOM or PROFIDRIVE.

Moreover, some of the resisting free control bits are transmitted staggered by DRIVECOM or PROFIDRIVE.

Therefore, in case of an AIF bus connection the ECS controllers Posi&Shaft can only be operated sensibly via the 'Lenze device control'.

This restriction does not refer to the ECS axis controller without the Posi&Shaft application. You should ensure that, during project planning, a mixed control is not generated.

This is also valid for the axis modules with the application software Speed&Torque. Single bits are also determined in a way that this does not agree to the mentioned drive profiles.
