Cam-import file cannot be loaded in GDC

Question:
Why can a cam-import file (name.txt) in the GDC dialogue 'cam editor' not be loaded, although the suitable base data are given?

Answer:
The reason can be that the import data are stored in a too 'deep' Windows directory. As a remedy a copy should be created in a shorter directory tree (e. g. C:\DATA\CAM\name.txt) and the file should be read from that place.
