Question:
Is it possible to delay the function of a digital input?
Answer:
By means of the Application I/O it is possible to delay the function of a digital input. For this purpose the parametrizable delay of a digital output is used. Please follow these steps:
1. A digital output (e. g. A1) is assigned to a digital input (e. g. E5), (C0415/2 = 36).
2. The required delay is parameterized for the corresponding digital output (here A1), (C0423/2= X seconds).
3. By means of a hardware bridge the terminal of the digital output at the Application I/O (here terminal X3.3/A1) is connected to the terminal of another digital input (e. g. of E6) at the Application I/O (here terminal X3.3/E6).
4. The required function is assigned to this digital input (here E6), which is supposed to be executed with delay (C0410/X = 6).
Consequently, the required function is activated via a digital input (here E5) and executed with delay via another digital input (here E6).
This function delay can be realized provided that the Application I/O is used!
