Restart of CAN systembus after BUS OFF

Question:

How can the CAN node of the 9300 servo inverter's CAN systembus be restarted after 'BUS OFF'?

Answer:

If the CAN systembus has switched to status 'BUS-OFF' due to too many faulty CAN telegrams, there are following possibilities in order to restart the CAN node:
  • Mains connection of the drive controller
  • CAN Reset Node via keypad C0358
  • If in code C0595/0 for the status 'BUS OFF' a CE4 trip is activated, the can node can be restarted by a TRIP Reset command (e. g. digital input etc.).

Reaction:
If the CAN node switches to the status 'BUS-OFF', the error message CE4-TRIP is generated at the same time. This error can be reset with a TRIP reset signal. After restart of the CAN node and C0352 = 1 (master) the node switched automatically back to the status 'Operational'.

Note:
In applications, where the drive controller is not allowed to be stopped by a TRIP, this possibility cannot be applied.
