Which products are affected?
All starttec versions including version HW VB, SW 1.1 in combination with any fieldbus function module.
What happens?
The FIF output word 1 (FIF-OUT.W1, configurable via C0417/X) is not enabled at the fieldbus function module, i.e. the data content is written with the value '0' in the process data telegram.
When does the problem occur?
The function restriction occurs every time the FIF output word 1 is to be passed on to the bus.
Possible diagnostics?
By using a fieldbus analyser, the telegram sent by the drive can be examined. If the FIF output word 1 has been connected, the value '0' is indicated in the assigned data content in the process data telegram.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Exchange of the starttec by version HW VC, SW 1.3
Evaluation
Since the value '0' is transferred in the data content of the process data telegram, a misinterpretation may occur in the higher-level control.
