PR1-TRIP of ServoPLC / Drive PLC - possible causes

Question:

How can a PR1-Trip of the Servo PLC / Drive PLC be caused?

Answer:
  • A PR1-Trip can occur, if the controller's power supply breaks down during parameter set storage.

Documentation of the system fault: PR1 - 'Check sum fault in parameter set 1'.

Background - what happens:
Storage of a parameter set trigger (C0003=1), e. g. by function block L_ParWrite of a PLC program. If the supply voltage is switched off while the parameters are stored in the NVRAM, only some of the parameters will be stored. The check sum, however, which was created during temporary storage before, will remain.

Consequently, when re-starting the device the current parameter set does not correspond to the check sum - the PLC will have PR1-Trip.

There is only this described cause for a PR1-Trip.

Remedies:
  • Loading Lenze factory default setting (C0002 = 0)
  • Consider: All parameter settings get lost - the values until now are to be loaded in the device by GDC-file in order to recover the initial settings before the PR1-Trip occurs.
  • Store parameter set (C0003 = 1).
  • Interrupt the supply voltage and re-start.
