¨Memory is full¨ message when opening the online help

Which products are affected?
ESP-DDS2-P (Global Drive PLC Developer Studio Version 2.2)

What happens?
The following message is indicated when opening the Search tab of the online help:

Memory is full.
Close some applications or delete some data to make more memory available.

When does the problem occur?
Different DDS version e.g. DDS versions 1.4, 2.1 and 2.2 are installed on the PC. The Search tab in the online help of DDS version 2.2 has been opened and thus the search term list (data bank) has been created. Later on the Search tab of the online help is also opened in another DDS version. The message mentioned above is indicated when reopening the Search tab in the online help of DDS version 2.2.

Possible diagnostics?
None.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Use the Search tab of the online help in one DDS version only.

If the problem has occurred, proceed as follows:
Delete the following files from the directory..\Programs\Lenze\DDS_P_2_20\Help\en :
  • DDS_EN.GID
  • DDS_EN.FTG

Please observe that the file attribute hidden is active in the file DDS_EN.GID and this file is thus not indicated, depending on the settings in the Windows Explorer.
After deleting these two files the Search tab in the online help of DDS version 2.2 can be called up again.

Evaluation:
The online help is a useful and important auxiliary tool for creating a program. Due to this function restriction the use of the online help is limited if the online help is used by different DDS version on the PC.
