What happens?
After the installation of DDS Version 2.1 the user is prompted to reinstall the Service Pack for the Windows operating system.
When does the problem occur?
The above-described behaviour can be observed after the installation of DDS Version 2.1 (update and full version) using the PC operating systems Windows 2000, Windows ME and Windows XP.
Possible diagnostics?
None.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
If you see the above-described message after DDS installation, please install the appropriate Windows Service Pack.
With DDS Version 2.2 this function restriction has been remedied.
Evaluation:
The installation of DDS makes it necessary to install the Windows Service Pack. The Service Pack can be obtained from Microsoft on the Internet.
