Which products are affected?
ESP-DDS2-P (Global Drive PLC Developer Studio Version 2.0, 2.1)
What happens?
If a DDS archive is opened on a different PC, the following message appears when the DDS project is opened:
Cam file (<file name>.lc9) data changed. Continue with new data?
When does the problem occur?
When opening the DDS project, DDS checks, inter alia, the time stamp of the cam profile data file (data and time). If an archive is created with DDS and opened on a different PC where a different time zone is set, DDS displays the above-described message.
The same message appears if the two PCs are not both set to winter/summer time.
Possible diagnostics?
Check the time zones set on the PCs.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
This function restriction has been remedied in DDS Version 2.2.
Evaluation:
If work is performed on the same project on different PCs, there will be a message that the cam profile data has changed, owing to the different time zone setting. This leads to uncertainty because the project may possibly not have changed. On a service job this can mean that there can be no online communication with the drive controller without the project being loaded into the drive controller again.
