Which products are affected?
ESP-DDS2-P (Global Drive PLC Developer Studio Version 2.0, 2.1)
What happens?
If a DDS archive is opened on a different PC, the following message appears when the DDS project is opened:
The version of at least one library has changed since the project was last opened!
Logging into the drive controller without previous compilation of the project is not possible.
When does the problem occur?
When the DDS project is opened, DDS checks, inter alia, the time stamp of the libraries (date and time). If an archive is created with DDS and opened on a different PC, the program occurs if …
- … different time zones have been set for the two PCs.
- … the two PCs have not both been set to winter/summer time.
- … the date/time of the library is not changed by unpacking the archive on the other PC.
Possible diagnostics?
None.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
None.
Evaluation:
Owing to this function restriction a library is recognised by DDS as having been changed solely on account of transfer to a different PC. This leads to uncertainty because the project may possibly have not changed. The project must be compiled and transferred into the drive controller again. On a service job this can mean that there can be no online communication with the drive controller without the project being loaded into the drive controller again.
