What happens?
DDS crashes when opening a DDS project with a memory error (Memory Check Error).
When does the problem occur?
The DDS project must have been created with the DDS Version 1.x and in the menu Project>Options the Number of data segments must have been set to a value greater than 1 in the category Build.
By default this value is set to 1.
Possible diagnostics?
Open the project with DDS V1.x and check whether the number of data segments is greater than 1.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Open the project with DDS V1.x and set the number of data segments back to the value 1.
This function restriction has been remedied in DDS Version 2.2.
Evaluation:
It was possible to change the number of data segments in DDS Version 1.x. This did not have any influence on operation of the target system. With DDS V2.x this value can no longer be changed.
