Which products are affected?
Each firmware status ≤ 1.1 is affected.
What happens?
If the bit '0' is set to the value '0' in the PROFIDRIVE control word, the controller immediately switches to controller inhibit and does not execute 'ramp function generator zero'. This function means that the drive controller decelerates along the deceleration ramp set in C0013 and that it sets controller inhibit in case of speed 0.
When does the problem occur?
This problem only occurs when the PROFIDRIVE profile is used and when the bit '0' is set to value '0' in the PROFIDRIVE control word.
Possible diagnostics?
If the PROFIDRIVE profile is selected, the behaviour can be examined while the drive is rotating and bit '0' is set to value '1'.
Short-term measures / recommendations?
The 8200 vector and 9300 present bits 11-15 of the PROFIDRIVE control word for free application to the AIF-CTRL.Bits 11-15. This enables the usage of 2 of these 5 bits in order to realize this function of bit '0'.
One bit is required for the connection with the NSet(1)-RFG-0 input of the NSet(1) block and another one for the connection with the CINH(1) input of the DCTRL(1) block.
If the drive decelerates along the deceleration ramp and reaches speed 0 after the first Bit has been set, the second Bit will be set to the controller inhibit.
Evaluation:
The incorrect behaviour of the PROFIDRIVE profile occurs during commissioning. It is not to be considered as critical, as uncontrolled functions of the drive cannot occur.
