The symbolic field cannot be overlapped by other objects

Which products are affected?

ESP-HMI1-P (HMI Designer Version 1.6)

What happens?

In the HMI Designer objects (lines, rectangles,…) and fields can be arranged in several levels on the top of each other. By using the menu item Edit>Level a highlighted object or field can be moved into the background or foreground.

In the HMI Designer the symbolic field can be overlapped by other objects or fields. Although in the HMI Designer the symbolic field is in the background the keypad shows this field in the foreground.

When does the problem occur?

The keypad always indicates the symbolic field in the foreground.

Possible diagnostics?

None.

Short-term measures/recommendations?

When programming keypads consider that the symbolic field is always indicated in the foreground by the keypads. Thus do not overlap the symbolic field in the HMI Designer by other objects or fields.

Evaluation:

Due to this function restriction the arrangement of the fields and objects on the monitor indicated by the keypad does not match with the programming. The function restriction is detected during commissioning of the project at the latest.
