Output terminals change their status when transferring parameters

Which products are affected?

All EVS9300 and EVF9300 drive controllers including the technology variants.

What happens?

The status of the output terminals (especially of the digital outputs A1…A4) can change during a parameter set transfer. Depending on the evaluation of these signals, misinterpretations can activate the monitoring functions or faulty triggering commands are executed.

When does the problem occur?

During or after an unsuccessful parameter set transfer (data exchange between drive controller and GDC / keypad).

Possible diagnostics?

Compare the parameter setting of the drive controller and GDC (menu item: Drive parameter – Compare current drive parameter set …)

Short-term measures/recommendations?

Withdraw the plugs X5 and X6 at the basic device before the transfer is started. By this it is ensured that the drive controller is inhibited and that all control terminals are in the defined 'LOW' status.

Evaluation:

It is possible that according to the wiring, safety-relevant functions can be switched via the output terminals. The user is informed about this circumstance via GDC. If parameters are transferred via keypad, a warning message is indicated in the documentation.
