Wrong process data length

Which products are affected?

Communication module DeviceNet / CANopen, EMF 2175 software version ≤ 0.9

What happens?

If the number of the I/O data words has been set manually (class 102 uneaqual 0) via class 102 (comparable to a Lenze code on the module only) the module indicates the correct product code (by means of 256+I/O data words) without being conneced to a drive. However, the correct 'Prod. Connection Size' Class 5 instance 2 attribute 7 (length I/O data words) is not indicated. The DeviceNet Master does not receive the number of the expected I/O data words.

When does the problem occur?

This problem only occurs if the module is operated at the DeviceNet without being connected to a basic device. This status can also be caused by switching off the basic device or resetting the DeviceNet.

Possible diagnostics?

In this case the DeviceNet Master generates an error message and cannot establish a connection to the slave.

Short-term measures/recommendations?

None.
