Master current input 4...20 mA, SD5 monitoring, required settings

Question:

Master curent input 4...20 mA and SD5 monitoring, which settings are necessary?

Answer:

The analog input 1 (AIN1; terminals X6/1 and X6/2) can also be used as master current input. The following settings are necessary:

Connect the upper two pins (5,6) of programming plug connector X3 with the attached jumper (see also operating instructions chapter 'Control connections')
Set C0034 to -1- for master current 4...20 mA.
If necessary, the SD5 monitoring for the master current input 4..20 mA can be activated under C0598 (trip or warning). This monitoring is inactive in the default setting.

Note:
The master current mode -20...+20 mA can also be set under C0034. In this mode, the SD5 monitoring is naturally always inactive.
