Which products are affected?
ESP-DDS2-P (DDS Professional 2.0)
ESP-DDS2-PU1 (DDS Professional 2.0 Upgrade)
What happens?
System blocks are used in error-free DDS projects. The target system setting is changed to an operating system 6.x (Servo PLC or Drive PLC). The content of the control configuration is automatically deleted during the change. This project can be compiled without any faults (menu: Project>compile) although there is not element inserted into the control configuration.
When does the problem occur?
When changing the target system settings to an operating system 6.x the content of the control configuration is deleted. After this conversion the program can be compiled without any errors by selecting 'Project>compile' (F11).
Possible diagnostics?
Recompile the project by selecting 'Project>Compile all' after the change of the target system setting. An error message is generated in case of an incomplete control configuration.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
After a change of the target system setting:
- Check the elements of the control configuration and re-insert them if necessary.
- Re-compile the project by selecting 'Project>Compile all'. During this compilation process an error message is released if the control configuration is incomplete. Afterwards, the system blocks used must be inserted.
Evaluation:
The project can be loaded into the drive although there are some entries missing in the control configuration. The system blocks are processed without any errors by the PLC program. The error can be avoided by applying the measure described.
