L_MCPositionCorrection - last correction interpolation point

Which products are affected?

ESP-SP-POS - Software Package Positioner V3.1

What happens?

If the last entry in the correction table is selected as the target position, then this explicit value is not applied, but interpolated. The drive is positioned at the interpolated value.

When does the problem occur?

Two entries in sequence in the measurements table form a straight line for the error interpolation. Position targets are corrected based on this interpolation. If the drive is now to be positioned at the last element in the array, interpolation is performed initially and the entry is not applied directly.

Possible diagnostics?

The position that the drive adopts deviates a few increments from the setpoint target from the last table entry.

Short-term measures/recommendations?

None.

Evaluation:

If the correction interpolation points are chosen with reasonable, that is small spacing, then this error behaviour is irrelevant. The corrected target position does not deviate significantly from the required position.
