8200 vector remains in low voltage stop and shows low voltage (LU)

Which products are affected?

8200vector / motec 0.25 kW ... 90 kW software version ≤ V2.4

How is the reaction?

The 8200 vector can be supplied by an external 24 V-voltage via the CAN-IO-RS function module. In this constellation the drive controller can remain sporadically in the low voltage stop.

When does the problem occur?

This status occurs under these conditions:
  • Inverter is enabled, and
  • auto DC brake is not active (C019 = 0) and
  • the drive controller is in intermediate circuit voltage low voltage stop LV and
  • the status TRIP is active

If under these conditions a TRIP reset is executed, no analog signal is read anymore.

Possible diagnostics?

In spite of applied mains voltage and correct intermediate circuit voltage level the message LU is shown.

Short-term measures / recommendations?
  • Apply software version V3.0 of the base controller (the mains connection of the inverter during external supply via CAN-IO-RS is not set sporadically) or
  • do not execute a TRIP-reset in case of low voltage or
  • activate auto DC brake (set C019 > 0, default setting 0.1 Hz)
