Profibus address assignment without parameter setting via keypad or GDC

Question:

How can the profibus station address be assigned without parameter setting via keypad or GDC?

Answer:

E82ZAFP field bus function module from software version 0.X on

Condition:
  • The address '3' is used by no profibus participant, as it is required for re-equipping. The address is the Lenze factory default setting of code digit C1509.
  • Only the profibus participant, which is to be assigned by a new profibus address, is supplied with voltage. (This means that all profibus participants can be installed / wired.)

1st possibility:
  • Code digit C1509 is parameterised with the profibus address, which this participant is supposed to obtain during operation. This parameter write job on code digit C1509 gives the participant the address '3', as it corresponds to the Lenze factory default setting.
  • The new address is only active after repeated mains connection.

2nd possibility:
=> further condition: A profibus master of class 2 is applied!
  • Only a profibus master of class 2 can send the command 'set slave address' and consequently give a new profibus address to the participant at the bus. This command is only adopted by the FIF module during the profibus' starting phase. If the profibus is in operation, the FIF module ignores the command.
  • The modification becomes active immediately (without repeated mains connection).

EMF 2133 communication module from software version 0.6 on

Condition:
  • A profibus address is not to be set above the DIP switches and a profibus master class 2 is applied.

Possibility:
  • Only a profibus master of class 2 can send the command 'set slave address' and consequently give a new profibus address to the participant at the bus. This command is only adopted by the AIF module during the profibus' starting phase. If the profibus is in operation, the AIF module ignores the command.
  • The modification becomes active immediately (without repeated mains connection).
  • The communication module transfers the new station address to code digit C0009 of the base controller.
