Which motor data must be entered for the control mode 'Vector control'?
Answer:
Before the inverter can be operated in control mode 'Vector control' a motor identification run is necessary. Therefore, the inverter must contain the motor data taken from the motor name plate.
Code digit, designation, comment:
- C0087 motor rated speed, entry according to the motor name plate (independent from the motor connection type)
- C0088 motor rated current, entry according to the motor name plate Important: Please enter the corresponding value for the motor connection type (star/delta)!
- C0089 motor rated frequency, entry according to the motor name plate (independent from the motor connection type)
- C0090 motor rated voltage, entry according to the motor name plate Important: Please enter the corresponding value for the motor connection type (star/delta)!
- C0091 motor cos phi, entry according to the motor name plate (independent from the motor connection type)
- C0148 motor identification, inhibit the controller and set C0148 = 1. Identification run will be started after the controller is enabled. After the identification run the controller sets pulse inhibit. Table 1: Code digits supposed to be set for the motor identification
During the motor identification the controller calculates the given parameters:
- C0015 V/f rated frequency, is calculated from the name plate's data by the controller during identification.
- C0021 slip compensation, is calculated from the name plate's data by the controller during identification.
- C0092 motor stator inductance, is calculated from the name plate's data by the controller during identification.
During the motor identification the controller measures the given parameters:
- C0084 motor stator resistance, the total resistance of motor cable and motor is measured.
- Fault compensation of inverter, the fault dependent on the current between set and actual output voltage is measured and internally registered as compensation factor.
During the motor identification the motor resistance is measured and the inductance is calculated. The results are entered in the corresponding code digits. Additionally, the edge frequency (C0015) and the slip (C0021) are calculated and entered in the code digits.
Advantage: It is not necessary anymore to set the edge frequency or the slip.
