OPC UA Mapping Editor - "Referenced base models" not visible

Removed from:

Behavior of the new version:

Description of the behavior:

The OPC UA Mapping Editor in PLC Designer can be used to create application-specific OPC UA information models based on Companion Specifications (e.g. Euromap).

To do this, the required Companion Specifications can be loaded into the editor in the form of nodeset files using the "Select Base Model" dialog. Nodeset files are like IEC libraries and can be referenced under each other, i.e. definitions from (subordinate) nodesets are used in a nodeset and a hierarchy is created.

In the dialog "Select Base Model" this hierarchy or the referencing to subordinate nodesets is not displayed for a selected nodeset.

Conditions under which the behavior occurs:

  • Add a "Mapping Editor" in the PLC Designer.
  • The "Select Base Model" open dialog.
  • Add a "Nodeset" and confirm with "OK".
  • Select a "nodeset".

Affected products:
PLC Designer V4.0

Short-term measures, Recommendations, Rating:
After the dialog is closed with OK, the nodesets are loaded. When the "Select Base Model" dialog is opened again, the referenced models are visible.
