Compiling error after executing 'Rename Machine Module' (fixed as of V3.21)
Corrected from: Project template ApplicationTemplate Standard as from V3.21
Response of the new version:
Only the machine module to be renamed is renamed. The instance or variable name of this machine module remains unchanged when renaming the machine module.
What happens?
After renaming a machine module with the context menu command 'Rename Machine Module' error messages appear during compilation:
C0077: Unknown type: 'xxx'
When does the behaviour occur?
If the name of a machine module starts with the name of the machine module to be renamed (e.g. MM_SlaveAB - MM_SlaveA), then both machine modules including their instance names and data types are renamed in the folder 'A55_VarLists' and in the block 'MMT' (folder 'A10_MachineModuleTree'). In the folder 'A70_MachineModuleSources' the machine modules are renamed correctly.
Which products are affected?
Project template ApplicationTemplate Standard from V3.17
Short-term measures:
Manually adapt the machine module name or the data types accordingly in the global variable lists in the folder 'A55_VarLists' and in the module 'MMT'.
Evaluation/Recommendations:
Compilation errors may occur after renaming machine modules in the PLC Designer project. The compilation errors can be eliminated by manual adaptation (see Short-term measures).
