8400 TopLine: FW version = 13.00.00.00
Response of the new version?
When the SSI encoder is initialised, the generation of a position now will not take place for a period of 1s. Therefore temporary position errors do not occur anymore.
Which products are affected?
8400 TopLine: FW version up to 12.01.00.00
What is the response?
After an online change of SSI encoder parameters, a speed > zero is output at LS_MultiEncoder.nSpeedAct_v although the encoder is not moving. The actual MCK position changes proportionately to this speed. If LS_MultiEncoder.nSpeedAct_v after this phase assumes the values zero again, the actual MCK position complies with the SSI encoder position again.
When does the problem occur?
By an online change of SSI encoder parameters, a reinitialisation of the SSI encoder evaluation is initiated. During this phase, the incorrectly generated encoder speed occurs.
Diagnostics options?
Record LS_MultiEncoder.nSpeedAct_v by means of the Engineer oscilloscope or PCAN.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
After an online change of the SSI parameters, the MCK position is only valid again if LS_MultiEncoder.nSpeedAct_v=0.
Evaluation:
An online change of the SSI encoder parameters only takes place, if at all, during commissioning scenarios and not during the final application of the machine. The actual MCK position is only incorrect temporarily for a period of typically < 1s. In most applications, this error should not have an impact on the machine movement.
