Applications
Cam drives whose motion profiles are to be protected against unauthorised access, e. g. in order to avoid a know how transfer.
Description
The functionality concerning the protection of the cam profile data stored in the drive controller has been extended.
In addition to the password protection against write/read access on the data a selective access or protection is now possible via the parameter setting of code C0499/0.
By setting the following modes the type of protection mentioned below can be achieved:
0: Write and read protection
1: Read protection only
2: Write protection only
Thus cam profile data can now be loaded subsequently on a drive with activated read protection.
This function is required if the cam profiles are to be optimised or if more than 8 motion profiles are required for the production process.
