Error message ¨Timer not defined in automatic operation¨

Which products are affected?
ESP-HMI1-P (HMI Designer V1.3 and higher)

EPM-H310 (text display)

What happens?
During compilation of an HMI project for the H310 keypad the following error message is displayed:
Timer not defined in automatic operation

The HMI project cannot be transferred to the keypad.
In the Timer dialog (menu item: Configuration>Timer) all timers used in the HMI project are defined.

When does the problem occur?
Unlike all other keypads the H310 has instead of 32 timers a maximum number of 20 timers. If a HMI project (Project Manager – Menu item: Extras>Convert) of any keypad (e. g. H315) is converted to one for the H310, the number of the available timers is not adapted to the maximum number of the H310. This means, if in this HMI project the timer No. 31 is used, it will be displayed in the Timer dialog but for the H310 it is not available. During compilation of the HMI project the error message mentioned above is displayed.

If a project is created directly for the H310 a maximum number of 20 timers can be defined via the Timer dialog.

Possible diagnostics?
Check in the Timer dialog (menu item: Configuration>Timer) if the timers defined in the HMI project are supported by the keypad selected.

Short-term measures / recommendations?
Use only the first 20 timers for the H310 in an HMI project. Adapt the HMI project correspondingly after a conversion.

Evaluation:
When an HMI project is converted to one for the H310 the maximum number of timers is not adapted to the maximum permissible number of timers. This leads to a compilation error. The reason for the occurrence of this error is not immediately obvious. In most cases the HMI project must be revised after a conversion.
