Which products are affected?
ESP-HMI1-P (HMI Designer V1.3 and higher)
EPM-H410 (Graphical display unit)
EPM-H502 (Touch screen)
EPM-H505 (Touch screen)
EPM-H510 (Touch screen)
EPM-H520 (Touch screen)
What happens?
Via menu item: Edit>Grid an object-grid, to which all objects (e. g. a TouchKey) can be snapped on one page, can be defined.
If the size of an object is modified while the object-grid is activated the bottom right corner of the object will be outside the grip, namely by one pixel to the vertical and horizontal direction. This means, the width and height of the object are too big by one pixel. If, e. g., the size of two TouchKeys next to each other is modified, sensitive areas will be overlapped. This leads to a compilation error.
When does the problem occur?
If the size of an object on a page is modified while the object-grid is activated the above-described response will occur. This function restriction concerns all keypads with graphics capability (H410, H502, H505, H510, and H520). The text display units are not affected.
Possible diagnostics?
Check in the Grid dialog (menu item: Edit>Grid) if Snap to grid is activated.
Short-term measures / recommendations?
Inactivate the object-grid before the object size on a page is modified.
Evaluation:
If the size of an object is modified while the object-grid is activated the bottom right corner of the object will be outside the grip. This function restriction only concerns keypads with graphics capability. If the object-grid is deactivated, the size of the objects can be modified on that page without any restriction.
