What happens?
In the DDS development environment the variable values indicated in online-operation are not updated any more (monitoring).
When does this problem occur?
When the window Parameter Monitor of the DDS development environment is open (even as an inactive window), the variable monitoring does not work any more. The variable values are still indicated, but they are not updated any more.
Possible diagnostics?
None.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
We recommended closing all windows in the DDS development environment except for the editor in which the variables are to be observed in order to ensure faultless and quick monitoring.
The window of the Parameter Monitor must always be closed. Otherwise monitoring is not possible.
Evaluation:
The monitoring function is an important auxiliary tool for trouble shooting. During commissioning this function restriction may occur more frequently since variable values and code values must be observed alternately to check specific system functions.
After closing the Parameter Monitor window the faultless operation of the monitoring function is given again.
