Default assignment for the x-touch probe signal

Which products are affected?
ESP-SPAC-CAM1 – Software Package Cam V1.1 (template cam)

What happens?
If the x-touch probe function is used together with template cam the drive does not respond to the touch probe signals at terminal X5/E5.

When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs if template cam is used with default setting on the Servo PLC. The signal assignment for the x-touch probe is factory set to 0 under code C0428/000 (zero pulse signal selection on the master value encoder). However, usually, a separate touch probe signal (24V-digital signal at terminal X5/E5) is used which must be selected under code C0428/000 = 1.

Possible diagnostics?
Check code C0428/000: If the code is set to 0 the x-touch probe signals at X5/E5 are ignored.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Set code C0428/000 to 1 (x-touch probe signal is expected at digital input X5/E5).

Evaluation
In the default setting, the zero pulse signal of the master value encoder has been selected as x-touch probe signal source. This can be easily changed under code C0428/000.
