What happens?
If the override function is activated, the profile generator does not indicate the 'constant approach phase is active' status (nState=11) during the constant velocity phase. Instead of this, the 'acceleration phase is active' status (nState = 10) is indicated.
When does the problem occur?
If the override function is active (bExecuteVelOverride = TRUE or bExecuteAccOverride = TRUE) and the actual constant approach phase of the motion profile is executed.
Possible diagnostics?
An oscilloscope trace of the profile generation status is provided by the profile generator output 'nState'.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
None.
Evaluation
When using the override function, the status evaluation is useless. The function is only required in very few applications. It is not very probable that the product / machine will be damaged due to this malfunction.
