Standby operation and interruption (CINH, QSP, LU)

What happens?

If standby operation was interrupted by controller inhibit or quick stop, the drive continued to run in standby operation immediately after cancellation of CINH and QSP, according to the setpoints at POS-N-IN and POS-P-IN and it was no longer possible to terminate it with POS-STDBY-STP or Touch Probe. In the same way, the angular difference output POS-PHI-SET ceased to operate.

When does the problem occur?

If standby operation is interrupted by controller inhibit or quick stop.

Possible diagnostics?

Interrupt standby mode with controller inhibit and after release again check whether standby operation can be terminated properly with input POS-STDBY-STP.

Short-term measures/recommendations?

In the event of an interruption in standby operation by QSP or CINH, perform a program reset in order to reliably terminate the PS with standby operation.

Evaluation:

It will depend on the particular application whether the response described is acceptable in the event of an interruption or whether changes are necessary. If the above-mentioned work-around is not acceptable, change the firmware by means of a download.
