Changing acceleration/deceleration and S-ramp time in DIN NC program

Question:
How can the acceleration/deceleration ramp and the S-ramp time be changed in the DIN NC program?

Answer:

Preparation

- Set the S-ramp time in the machine constant MK_T2 to 0 s (unit: s)
  • The machine constant is effective both in manual and automatic mode. It can, however, not be changed in the program.

- Enter the max. S-ramp time in the machine constant
  •  MK_T_BESCHL for manual operation (unit: ms) and
  •  MK_T_BAHNBESCHL for automatic (path) operation (unit: ms).

G201 Change acceleration and deceleration ramps

G201 can be used to program the acceleration and deceleration ramps in path and route operation.

Syntax:
G201 AXES    J    I   K

Meaning of the addresses:
AXES         Axes whose ramps are to be changed in route operation
J                 For changing the ramps in path operation
I                     Which ramps are to be changed
0: acceleration and deceleration ramp (default)
               1: only acceleration ramp
               2: only deceleration ramp
K                Time to reaching the max. path acceleration [ms]

Explanation:
To change the path ramps, the height of the acceleration and deceleration ramp is programmed in m/s² for J.
The entered value is limited to the value of MK_BAHNBESCHL or MK_BAHNBREMS in the machine constants.

The optional address K has the same effect as MK_T_BESCHL and is used to adapt the jolt limitation on the path.

The acceleration and deceleration ramps of the individual axes in route operation are programmed in m/s² in the case of linear axes and in 1/s² in the case of rotation axes, depending on the corresponding axis letters. The entered values are limited to the values of MK_BESCHL or MK_BREMS in the machine constants.
The letter I can be used to select whether only the acceleration ramps, only the deceleration ramps or both ramps should be changed.
If no I is programmed, both ramps will be changed to the programmed value.
If G201 is programmed without parameters, the ramps on the path and all configured axes will be reset to the values set in the machine constants.

Example:
G201 J1.5 I1          Change acceleration ramp on the path to 1.5 m/s².
G201 J2.5 I2          Change deceleration ramp on the path to 2.5 m/s².
G201 J2.5 I2 K10   Change deceleration ramp on the path to 2.5 m/s² and select 10 ms as S-ramp time.
G201                     Reset all ramps to the values configured in the machine constants.
