Power loss 9350 braking unit for estimation of the required cooling capacity

How can the thermal behaviour of 9351 braking module and 9352 brake chopper be estimated with regard to the total heat inside the switching cabinet (e. g. in order to dimension the required cooling capacity of a cooler)?
Answer:
The power loss is mainly caused by the switching losses of the brake transistor und the heating of the integrated brake resistor (only in case of 9351).
The losses due to the control electronics can be neglected and must not be considered for the examination of the thermal behaviour of the total system. Consequently, as total losses the information about the output power can be used according to the operation instructions:
