Communication cannot be established via EMF2173 (LPT1-Dongle)
Question:
Why can a CAN communication not be established via the LPT1-Dongle (EMF 2173IB), although in the systembus configuration tool the correct settings have been made and after having pressed the check-button no hardware error was shown?
Answer:
The presettings in BIOS of some computers (e. g. Siemens-Fujitzu) have not been selected correctly. Consider that the parallel port Mode in BIOS is set to ECP.
